Manurung Brothers Law Firm (MBL) was established in January 2019 by Janter Manurung as the firm founder/owner and his junior partner.
MBL is a development of Janter Manurung & Partners Law Firm which has been existed in the legal services since 2009.
Manurung Brothers Law Firm (MBL) is a Jakarta-based Indonesian law firm providing legal services for business subjects, institutions, professionals and personal. We are dedicated in assisting our clients to deliver their objectives based on integrity and quality and protecting the legal rights of clients under the applicable laws and regulations. MBL as a for profit law firm also actively do pro bono work or free of charge services for those who have limitation to legal access and with economic conditions.
As a law firm, MBL provides legal services for various legal cases in the field of a business law, as well a private corporation, a state-owned or government-owned corporation, as foreign and local private entities including individuals for all forms of litigation and non-litigation legal services.
As a new law firm, MBL is represented by young and telented lawyers who have experiences in various legal law cases both in civil law, criminal, administrative law and political dispute in the Constitutional Court.
MBL designates young and talented lawyers who are very bold, creative and have integrity. They protect clients’ confidentiality and are expert in their respective field to provide protections’ guarantee for the legal rights of the clients.
This has become an invaluable capital for MBL to keep competing despite the complexity of competition and the very rapid development of the era.

WHAT WE PROVIDE
MBL provides legal service in both Non Litigation and Litigation fields.
Non Litigation
- Legal Advice
Provides Legal Advice in any legal matters requested by Clients.
- Contract Drafting
Assists in the drafting of a contract in such a manner, that the contract will be legally permissible, acceptable by all involved parties, and not detrimental to the Client’s interest.
We cover a wide range of legal fields, starting from drafting a contract for the just division of an inheritance, or drafting a contract for the provision of bank loan, up to drafting a freight forwarder contract between an Indonesian company and its overseas counterpart.
- Legal Audit
Legal audits can be carried out at the client’s request to meet the client’s goals or needs, for example when the company is about to conduct an IPO.
- Investigation
By the request of a Client, we are eligible to conduct an investigation aimed at finding a certain fact, document or legal position which is necessary to answer or resolve a legal problem.
Some examples of this investigation are the one aimed at specifying a family’s estate, and the one conducted in order to find relevant legal facts relating to a request for patent license.
- Negotiation
The goal of this service is to find a peaceful settlement between a Client and his adversary.
In small scope, we can handle negotiations in resolving family disputes.
For the big one, we can represent clients in employer-employee negotiations. If negotiations are unsuccessful, we are available to represent the Client prior to the labor mediation forum.
- Arbitration
Requested by a Client either to become his arbitrator, or to represent the Client in the settlement of his case by an arbitration forum.

- Criminal Law
We have handled criminal cases as the counsel for defense before Criminal Courts.
- Civil Law
We are available for giving legal and aimed civil law such as: unlawful action, debt case, inheritance rights, collaboration dispute, wanprestasi court, defamation, name change application, etc.
We also give legal assistance to religious court (Pengadilan agama) in divorce cases, jointly acquired property, child custody, etc.
- Tort Law
We have represented clients who are victims of lawsuits by individuals, companies or government.
- Constitutional Law
We provide legal assistance in efforts to resolve the constitutional court, such as Judicial review or political disputes such as vote counting, violations of election law, etc.
- Administrative Law
We have experiences in handling administrative law disputes.
- Company Law
We have handled cases involving disputes among shareholders, between a shareholder and a company, between a company and its board of directors, or between a shareholder and the board directors of a company.
- Contract Law
We have handled cases of breach of contract. Whether it’s a work contract between an employer-employee or a cooperation contract between two or more companies. For example, a sale-purchase contract between a local company and a overseas company.
- Agrarian Law
We can handle cases where land or buildings are illegally occupied. We are representing clients who are the legal owners of land and buildings.
We will make legal efforts to obtain court decisions, order illegal occupants to leave land and buildings, and to transfer land and buildings back into control true owner.

JANTER MANURUNG, S.H., M.H.
Founder
Janter Manurung has been practicing law for over 15 years.
Holds a Sarjana Hukum (Bachelor of Laws) from the Faculty of Law, University of Krisnadwipayana, Jakarta and Magister Hukum (Master of Laws) degree from University of Krisnadwipayana
His experiences in both of corporate law as a corporate lawyer and law office as a litigator.
Janter is a licensed advocate and a member of the Indonesian Advocates Association (PERADI).
PARTOGI BARINGIN MANURUNG, S.H.
Co-Founder
Partogi graduated in 2014 from the university of Atma Jaya faculty of law. As a Partner in MBL, his specializes in keys area of expertise such as civil law, criminal law and political party supreme court matters.
Partogi has been a member of the Indonesia Advocates Association (PERADI) since July 2017, allowing him bar admittance in all judicial courts in Indonesia.
He is also currently pursuing a law master degree in Mpu Tantular University, Jakarta as he strives for more knowledge and to improve his skills and expertise.
